We collected a variety of leaves and drew the different leaves in our Field Journals to classify them.

Can we find different examples of trees and classify those?

Tomorrow we will be outside determining the position of the Sun... be prepared to be outside for some or most of the day tomorrow. Be prepared Rain or Shine!

What did we learn today?
Fingerprints are challenging to trace because there are so many ridges (lines) and some started but seemed to have no ending. All finger prints are unique!
How did we show what we learned?
Parent volunteers enlarged our fingerprints (Thanks to Ishan's mom and Cohen's mom) so we could write our All About Me paragraphs over top of our ridges.
What do we need to learn next?
Finish writing our paragraph, trace it with a sharpie, add shapes or designs.

We began our work with Finger Printing. We started to wonder about the different designs and shapes on our unique fingerprints. We will be using enlargements of our finger prints to write about ourselves. Stay tuned to see these in the hallways.

First Day of School
Welcome to Room 7!
We had a wonderful day and excited for more adventures in learning tomorrow!
What did we learn today?
- We are hoping to go on 5 field trips this year - Starting on Sept. 27th to the Police Interpretive Center.
- We completed 3 inventories about our interests, math and spelling skills.
- We played Capture the Flag with room 6 - The Victors!!!
- We are tired, starving or missing our free time :-)
How did we show what we learned?
We had a great day!
What do we need to learn next?
We need to start investigating the trees in Autumn as well as work on our Crime Scene discovery.
